Cancer Prevention and Control: HPV, Oropharyngeal Cancer, and Cervical Cancer
Rising rates and the linkage between HPV and oropharyngeal cancer necessitate multidisciplinary treatment approaches to reduce long-term morbidity. The leaders of our Cancer Prevention and Control program discuss the latest research and treatment strategies for oropharyngeal cancer occurring in conjunction with HPV. The presenters also examine the effects of behavioral and biological risk factors for oncogenic oral HPV persistence as well as HPV vaccination programs in our Adolescent Health Center aimed at minimizing HPV cervical infections.
