Message from the Director of The Tisch Cancer Institute
THE YEAR 2020 began with great news: The Tisch Cancer Institute (TCI) was redesignated as a National Cancer Institute (NCI) center. At the suggestion of the NCI, we began to plan for designation as a comprehensive cancer center during our next five-year cycle.
With more than 150 investigators, TCI focuses on four pillars of research: cancer cells; cancer immunology—with one of the strongest programs in the country; population health and outcomes; and clinical trials and treatments, including basic science discoveries in cancer genetics and the tumor microenvironment.
