About the Mid-Atlantic Hospital Medicine Symposium
In 2004, a small group of regional hospitalists gathered at The Mount Sinai Hospital to learn about the latest advances in the field of hospital medicine, which has grown rapidly since then. Hospitalists now provide care for most patients hospitalized for medical illnesses and are experts at pre-operative evaluation, medical consultation, co-management, transitions of care, and more. Hospitalists are passionate about providing the most innovative care and strive to become master clinicians. In its 17th year, hospitalists from across the United States continue to come to New York City in the fall to learn together and share their common passion for hospital medicine.
