Assessing the full impact of deep brain stimulation in patients with Parkinson’s disease and Tourette syndrome has been limited to observations made during implantation and through patient follow-ups. Today, Mount Sinai has a dedicated interdisciplinary team focused on innovative research strategies to provide new insights for optimal targets and to enhance patient outcomes.
