Conventional structural bone grafts for ankle and foot reconstruction are difficult to contour to a patient’s anatomy and often degrade over time. To solve this, Meghan Kelly, MD, PhD, is using 3D printing technology to guide the development of custom implants that conform to patients' exact anatomy and promote bone growth.
