To meet the critical need for ophthalmic pathology services regionally and nationally, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE) is responding with a fully equipped and staffed Ophthalmic Pathology Referral Service. A team of ocular pathologists skilled in diseases of the eye and neighboring tissues examines and processes biopsies and provides ophthalmologists at hospitals, surgical centers, and ophthalmology practices with vital information about the cause, pathogenesis, and prognosis of specific disorders.
